Throughout my life my dad has spent much of his free time in his garage or workshop working on cars and building things. He is a problem solver, an inventor, and an artist.
When I was little, after a day in the garage, he would come into the house smelling like grease and metal. I would hug him and tell him he smelled like a part.
I absolutely adore this smell. It makes me feel safe.
