A Lathe In Bill’s Workshop
My dad’s workshop is larger than the house my parents live in. It’s 3 bays of wood working, metal working, machine repair, manly glory. One day my brother will inherit everything it contains.
When I walk into the workshop, I am often reminded of Dane Cook’s Vicious Circle when he retells the story of his father’s robe falling open. While motioning at his junk, Dane’s father says to him, “Someday all this will be yours.”
